Half his face in my soaked lap, he was delicate, so delicate… I wasn't thinking straight, I couldn't think straight, everything was a really, really bad dream and I hated it and I was so, so scared… I gaped around, my own breaths wanting to make up for his lack of life by rising in pitch, doubling as I threw my arms way more over his limp form in a little spasm, digging wraith-like fingers in the his matted mes
Just Another Mission 18.6She was so angry, so passionate- and crying. She believed full-heartedly what she was saying. As I watched, a double assault of crystal beads cut clean paths through the grime on her cheeks, only to be slapped away by the fury of her gloves before they had a chance to fall. I looked up at her, finding myself speechless for the first time in many a year.

Then, finding myself in such a state- indeed, with nothing more to say- I… turned to leave.

I could no longer hope to help her. I could no longer hope to make her find the error in what she was saying, pitting something as flimsy as emotions against death and pain- always a constant in this
